Whisperboats

With a whisper boat you can quietly enjoy various routes through the beautiful protected area called Waterland. Besides enjoying the green environment and birds, during your trip on the small lakes and canals, you will also pass through the idyllic villages Broek in Waterland, Zuiderwoude, Monnickendam and Holysloot with their characteristic colored wooden houses. Along the way you can make a stop in one of the villages or at a tea garden. A whisper boat is easy to handle for everyone.

Prices

  • 3 hour rental period;  morning or afternoon block: € 80,-
  • 4 hour rental period;  morning or afternoon block: € 95,-
  • All day: € 127,50,-

Know before you go:

  • A whisper boat is suitable for a maximum of 5 people (or 4 adults + 2 children up to 12 years)
  • Easy to operate electric engine
  • Route map, route app (download: Routefabriek, code 23485) and directions are provided
  • Seat cushions, umbrella's and blankets (if necessary) are provided.
  • Children live jackets are provided.
  • Please bring you own food & drinks, we don't sell anything at the boat rental
  • There is enough space in the boat to store a cool box and picknick basket.
  • Free cancellation in case of bad weather
  • Dogs are not allowed.

Canoes & kajaks

Canoe along various routes over small lakes and canals through the beautiful, green, well protected nature area of Waterland. You can pass by the idyllic villages Broek in Waterland, Zuiderwoude, Holysloot and Monnickendam. While paddling enjoy the tranquility and space of Waterland and stop for a break at a picnic area, a tea garden or in one of the villages. You will be given an explanation of the canoe and route before departure. There are 1- and 2 person kayaks and 3- person Canadian canoes.

Prices

Half a day: € 18,00 per adult, € 9,00 per child up to 12 years
Full day:  € 28,00 per adult, € 14,00 per child up to 12 years

Know before you go:

  • The 3 person Canadian canoes are suitable for 2 or 3 adults but also for 2 adults and 2 small children, they can sit next to eachother on the bench in the middle of the canoe. 
  • You will receive directions for canoeing (if needed)
  • Route map, route app (download: Routefabriek, code 23485) and directions are provided
  • Free life jackets (for kids only) to borrow
  • Free watertight barrel for valuables to borrow. 
    In practice they are not always completely watertight. We accept no liability for items rented by tenants, stored in barrels or left on our property.
  • Free cancellation in case of bad weather
  • Dogs are not allowed.

It is NOT: Belmermeer 5, Amsterdam!  if you come from direction Broek in Waterland it is not Stal Melman on the right side of the road  but it is Stal Baco, a little further on the left side of the road.

Public transportation: from Amsterdam CS you need to take Subway 52 to metro station North and take a bus from there no 111, 314, 315 or 316 to Broek in Waterland Dorp. It is about 2.8 kilometers from the bus stop (Broek in Waterland dorp) to the boat rental; but it certainly is a nice walk through the Dutch country side!

  • April & May: open Friday, Saturday & Sunday (but also on National holidays and during Dutch holiday periods.)
  • June & September: open from Wednesday to Sunday (but also on National holidays and during Dutch holiday periods.)
  • July & August: open 7 days a week
